A Painful Crisis

When I first created this blog I had included a few articles which were perhaps too sensitive or private for the general public. I later took these article off the web even though I would had been very happy and grateful to have been able to read such articles and documents years ago when I was discerning which seminary or which religious congregation would be best for me, seeking to discern God’s will.

But to at least offer some of my experiences and some of the things I have learned by way of study and by way of the gift from God of much suffering while persevering in daily prayer, I have recently written an article which might help to shed light on some fundamental issues in the Church and in particular on the proper foundations upon which human relations should be built upon and maintained; in particular in regards to the relation between those in charge or in control and those under those in charge or in control. Obviously these basic principles can be applied both in the ecclesial sphere as well as in civil society. I hope this article will be of use to some as well as to offer indications of how the Holy Spirit is offering in our times guidance, in particular by way of the writings of Blessed Pope John Paul II and other holy people, to help us perfect our human relations in society and in the Church and thus give more life to the Church and society instead of suffocating so much life around us.

I, along with Raymond Frost were members of the Oblates of the Virgin Mary from 1983 to 1990. To read more about the preparation that Ray and I did for the Pope’s visit to California in 1987, visit: http://josephdwight.blogspot.com/2008/06/second-visit-of-pope-to-usa.html .

Ray Frost was one of the main organizers of the Rosary procession in San Francisco, California on October 15, 2011, in remembrance of the anniversary of the Rosary procession 50 ago with Father Patrick Payton; with over 500,00 participants. To see Ray on Ewtn’s “Life on the Rock”, take a look at the video clip: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Pt4S9ptFO9A&feature=channel_video_title .
